You will need to get a NCCP# to take part in all coaching courses and modules.
This is easy to do!
The courses run through the NCCP that you may need are:
Coach Initiation in Sport eModule (This is an online independent learning course)
Safe Sport Training (This is an online independent learning course)
Making Head Way in Sport (online, independent course - related to concussions)
Make Ethical Decisions Class (this is often online, but at a specific time with an instructor)
You must register as a Coach with Ringette Canada to have your coaching qualifications verified to coach ringette.

Community Sport Initiation (Ringette). This workshop will give you all of the tools you need to hit the ice with confidence as a first-time ringette coach. Over the course of 10 hours, this in-class and on-ice workshop will help you:

This two day (14-hour) workshop provides an exceptional foundation for your coaching career and introduces new coaching methods that will enhance both your coaching and your program’s effectiveness. We encourage teams to register a manager to improve communication between RAB and teams.
Managers have the option of completing the Manager's Certificate as can be found on www.coachingringette.ca, but it is not a requirement.
Managers MUST complete the Safe Sport module.
Note: Managers are NOT permitted on the bench during games. Female managers do not fulfill the female coach requirement.
Each Team Staff is able to have unlimited trainers on their TRF, but only one on the bench at any given game. This individual must be 18 or older and counts towards the maximum of 5 staff members permitted on the bench at once. To be a trainer, Standard First Aid or higher is required.
Alternatives include:
i. Medical Doctor/Student
ii. Fireman
iii. Registered Nurse (send licence)
iv. Ambulance Training
v. Athletic Therapy
vi. Sport Physio Designation or Sport First Responder
vii. Equivalency for any certified standard first aid course, thirteen (13) hours or more in duration (eg. St. John Ambulance or Red Cross Standard First Aid programs), which includes the following content:
• Principal of First Aid and Safety
• Artificial Respiration
• Wounds and Bleeding
• Shock, Unconsciousness and Fainting
• Fractures
• Head and Spinal Injuries
• Joint Injuries
• Medical Conditions (Diabetes, Asthma, etc.)
Trainers must complete the Safe Sport module and Making Head Way.
Female trainers do not fulfill the female coach requirement. On the bench only except to provide medical assistance as needed on ice.
A copy of the first aid training, professional registration, or other certification paperwork must be submitted via a google form before the trainer will be approved.

NRL Teams must have at least one coach on the bench who is Comp Dev Certified, and all other coaches must also complete one new-to-them Comp Dev multi-sport module per season.
Anyone interested in becoming Comp Dev trained/certified should refer to the Pathway document. There are 8 multi-sport modules and a sport-specific course, followed by 2 evaluations (1 practice, 1 game) for certification. These multi-sport modules are:
Of these 8 multi-sport modules, the first 5 must be completed prior to taking the sport-specific ringette course. The other 3 can be completed before OR after the sport-specific.
