U16AA, U19AA, and National Ringette League

Head coaches and assistant coaches for U16AA, U19AA, and NRL will have to complete one Comp Dev multi-sport module that is NEW TO THEM prior to January 31, with 3 exceptions:

1. Coaches who complete their Comp Intro evaluation during the season do NOT have to do a Comp Dev multi-sport module
2. Coaches who are already Comp Dev trained or certified do not have to complete a module
3. Coaches who have already completed all 8 modules listed below.

All TEAMS at the CRC must have someone on their bench with valid first aid training or higher. That can be a coach or a trainer, but it must be someone who is attending the CRC with the team and registered. 

Coaches who need to complete a Comp Dev multi-sport module can choose from the list below, and must do a course NEW to them (can't re-take one already complete). Alberta Sport's calendar will show upcoming offerings, or you can check the Coaching Association of Canada (CAC)'s calendar or other provincial sport organizations' schedules. 

1. Developing Athletic Abilities
2. Coaching & Leading Effectively
3. Prevention & Recovery
4. Manage a Sport Program
5. Performance Planning
6. Managing Conflict 
7. Psychology of Performance
8. Leading a Drug-Free Sport (this is the only one that can be completed online independently)

For coaches considering working towards their Comp Dev trained status, you will eventually need all 8 of these multi-sport modules complete.

The first 5 above must be completed prior to being eligible to take the Comp Dev ringette course.
