If your athlete needs a release to play with another association, please follow the updated Residency Policy process carefully.
The policy can be found HERE: https://ringettealberta.com/content/ringette-alberta-policies
This season, only the most recent Player Release Form will be accepted.
Please ensure you are using the correct form, as incomplete or outdated versions will not be processed.
Parents and guardians are responsible for completing the form in full and presenting it to the athlete’s Home Association first. The association then has 72 hours to approve or deny the request. If no response is provided within that timeframe, the release is automatically approved for the season.
Once the process has started, it is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to collect all required signatures.
A release will not be considered valid until every signing authority has signed the form.
When the form is complete, it must be uploaded through Ringette Alberta’s official Google Form submission link. Without this step, the release will not be recognized.
A few important reminders:
releases may only be requested between September 1 and October 15, and rosters are frozen from December 16 through April 30.
While a release is being processed, players may attend team practices and other functions, but they are not permitted to participate in any Ringette Alberta-sanctioned games until the release is finalized.
Finally, all players automatically return to their Home Association at the end of the season unless a permanent release has been granted.
