Coach & Team Staff multi-sport modules

Team Staff are required to complete several online modules. These are all independent learning modules that participants can start and stop, completing in multiple sittings. To know which ones you need for your role, consult the Team Staff Requirements chart.

Coach Initiation in Sport

- Overview: The NCCP Coach Initiation in Sport eLearning module introduces new coaches to the foundational skills of coaching, such as long-term development, ethics, coaching motivation, and athlete safety and wellness. It also teaches the key coaching concepts and educational tools that are the foundation of the NCCP.
Safe Sport
- Always FREE

- Overview: Safe, inclusive sport environments help make sport rewarding and enriching for all. By completing Safe Sport Training you will gain the knowledge and skills to create healthy and safe environments by recognizing, addressing and preventing maltreatment in sport.
Making Head Way in Sport

- ~60 minutes
- Overview: The NCCP Making Head Way in Sport eLearning module is designed to empower coaches, parents and participants with the knowledge and skills needed to prioritize participant safety when it comes to concussions. Backed by extensive concussion research, and aligned with the Canadian Guideline on Concussion in Sport, this comprehensive course provides a thorough understanding on what to do to prevent concussions, how to effectively recognize the signs and symptoms of a concussion, what steps are needed to take action when a participant has a concussion, and how to support a safe return to sport.
