Robyn Gillespie Joins Our Team

Ringette Alberta is thrilled to announce that Robyn Gillespie has joined our team in the temporary position, Special Projects Coordinator.

Among her duties, Robyn will be laying the groundwork for Ringette Alberta’s Athlete Advisory Council, coordinating the production of resources to support coaches across the province, working on a number of outreach (growth) initiatives and supporting our athlete, coach and official social media plan you’ll see throughout the coming season.

Robyn is a University of Alberta Kinesiology graduate and an accomplished ringette player, having been a member of the NRL’s Edmonton WAM! and Ringette Canada’s 2016 Junior National Team.

Last season, Robyn played for the Tuusula Blue Rings in Finland. For the 2018-19 season, she hopes to rejoin the Edmonton WAM!

Later this month, watch for the invitation to athletes to submit their interest in becoming a member of the Athlete Advisory Council.

We are very excited to welcome…

We are very excited to welcome Bronwen Harvey to the Ringette Alberta staff as our Coaching Development Coordinator.  Bronwen will be covering Caleigh Shaw’s maternity leave.

Bronwen is no stranger to the sport of ringette.  She is a player on the Open A Edmonton Relit team and has a very strong coaching background with both Edmonton Ringette (EFCLRA) and the Edmonton Ringette Club.  Additionally, she has a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and has been one of Ringette Alberta’s NCCP Learning Facilitators.  These qualities make her a great fit to take on the role of Coaching Development Coordinator while Caleigh is away.

Bronwen will be working out of our office in Edmonton.  Her contact information will be on the contact page on Ringette Alberta’s website.

We also want to wish Caleigh the best during this exciting time.  The entire ringette community cannot wait to meet your new addition once they arrive!
